PRAISE FOR GEORGE FONG

"Authentic and suspenseful - a great thriller."
 -
Lee Child

“This may be retired FBI Special Agent George Fong's first novel, but it's apparent that he's been working on his craft. From the opening pages, Fong draws you into the high-stakes, desperate world of FBI Special Agent Jack Paris, who must find a serial kidnapper and killer before a teenage girl dies. Fong writes with the insider knowledge of an experienced veteran who spent twenty-five years working on some of the Bureau's toughest cases. Jack Paris is a hero worth rooting for, and George Fong writes with style and authority. Deftly plotted, lightning paced and immensely readable, FRAGMENTED is a stellar debut from a talented newcomer. We will be hearing much more from this new author. Highly recommended.”

Sheldon Siegel

“Clean, vivid, and gripping, a knowing crime story written at street level. George Fong distills a twenty-seven year FBI career and his talent shines through.”

Kirk Russell

DEN OF WOLVES

Two cops, two feds, two killers.

And then there’s Misha Volkov, a loner who lives in two worlds; The old Russia and the new America.

He came with his parents when the wall fell, a kid too young to remember what it was like in Russia and yet too old to assimilate into the American way of life. Finding himself meant befriending those like him; lost in their own newly formed culture, creating their own style, their own philosophy, their own way of life. Part of that search includes delving into unlikely but inevitable places. Like the world of crime. Chop shops, stolen parts, and illegal gambling joints. Misha accepts it even though he knows it’s dancing on the crumbling ledge of right and wrong but Misha Volkov has a rule: whatever he does, it will not include violence.

But like everything in Misha’s life, things change.

Sometimes the best person to talk to isn’t the one that’s living.

It has been over a year since his wife had passed. FBI Special Agent Jack Paris lived a complex life – as many agents do: one foot in the world of violence and the other in place of normalcy. His wife, Emily gave him the tether that kept him sane.

Now that she is gone, Paris seeks a way to continue his connection with her, without her physical being, to give him back the safe haven he treasures but now misses, along with the ability to work through his thoughts and emotions when investigating some of the most brutal crimes he faces.

It’s a fierce winter in the Yosemite National Park and it’s not uncommon people end up dead here. Hikers falling from cliffs, campers succumbing to the cold. This time, it wasn’t an accident. The body of a young girl is found in a small patch of frozen grass on the valley floor. Cut and filthy, it was obvious she was left for law enforcement to find. A small note left under the victim tells it all: Catch Me.
